So, who says corporate gigs are no fun? Not me!

So, who says corporate gigs have to be boring and can’t be any fun? Not me! I had a blast playing for the folks in the Marker 10 Lounge at Hyatt Regency, Austin. Making it even more fun, the amazing Megan Flechaus played during my set break and just Killed it! There was quite the lively crowd taking in the music and they were so appreciative. In fact, as we were coming to the end of what was supposed to be a 2-hour show, management asked us if...

Stellar night at Austin’s Famous Carousel Lounge

Cassandra Elese started off the night and set the mood with her sultry sounds reminiscent of a 1940’s Piano Bar singer. Her mix of Jazz and R&B along with her sultry and sassy vocal style had the audience eating out of her hand. I was thinking the entire time she was singing, “now I have to follow that!” I was up next with a set of my original Americana/Folk tunes with a dash of some old-school bluegrass and country. The audience was very...

Hello Austin!!

Good Morning,Texas! Dallas has been a blast! Today, I'll be heading down the road to Austin to meet up with my good friend, Megan Flechaus and her band "Flechaus" and singer-songwriter Cassandra Elese to do Maximum Damage at Austin's famous Carousel Lounge! I played the Carousel a couple of years ago and have been dying to get back! This is gonna be so much fun it should be illegal!

House Concerts And The Big Heart Of Texas

I love performing in House Concerts, the setting is always intimate, the room quiet and the audience is there for but one purpose, to listen to the music. Tonight’s show with Paul Demer, Trisha McNeill and myself was no exception. We shared our songs, stories and lots of laughter with the 15-20 friends and family gathered for the event. We ended the evening with an old-fashioned campfire style sing along and when it was time to bring the show...

So glad to see everyone! If I didn't tag you, I apologize, this "old" brain can only hold so much information, LOL! Next up: A house concert...

Singled Out: Mitch Hayes’ All Fall Down

Published in antiMusic - 20-Feb-2018 Singer songwriter Mitch Hayes tells us about the inspiration for his song "All Fall Down" which comes from his latest album "Heroes". Here is the story: I suppose this song had it's true beginning back in the 60's. The seed was sewn then, that's for certain. America was in the height of the Civil Rights movement while at the same time, our government and the military were escalating our involvement in the...
